Mission

EUVA’s mission is to fight teenage obesity and prevent diabetes and other diseases associated with poor nutrition. 

EUVA believes that wholesome lifestyle habits acquired as a teenager provide a lifetime of benefits in the form of weight control, reduced obesity and/or diabetes risk, and overall result in a healthier life and greater self-esteem. 

History

  • Founded in 2001 by celebrity lifestyle guru Kathie Dolgin, aka. High Voltage, when she declared “war on unhealthy lifestyles”and created the first Energy Up! Program at Mother Cabrini High School in Fort Washington, New York.
  • In 2004, Voltage began to formalize the program and established EUVA, Inc, the not-for-profit umbrella organization.
  • In 2004, EUVA partnered with The Young Women’s Leadership Foundation Schools.
  • In 2004, Energy Up! was accredited by the NYC Board of Education.
